1st Amendment The first amendment states the rights we have. Freedom of speech, Religion, assembly, press, and freedom of petition.
2nd Amendment The second amendment protects the rights of the people to own guns
3rd Amendment The third Amendment allows people to not let soliders in their homes
4th Amendment The fourth Amendment protects the people for unreasonable searches of people of their property or talking of someones property or the taking of someones property.
5th Amendment The fifth Amendment states the rights of accused criminals. They have the right to grand jury hearing, no double jeopardy, no self incrimination, and you must have a due process.
6th Amendment The sixth amendment states the right of criminal trials. They have the right to a speedy trial, right to an impartial jury, the right to know the charges against you, the right to hear people who are against you, and the right to have an attorney.
7th Amendment The seventh Amendment states the rights in civil trails. The value has to be over twenty dollars. After the jury decides, the judge cannot over turn that decision.
8th Amendment The eighth Amendment states the rights before the trial. It protects from excessive bail. After the trial, the eighth amendment protects from a cruel punishment.
9th Amendment The ninth Amendment says that we as citizens, have other rights even if they're not listed in the constitution.
10th Amendment The tenth Amendment states that powers are not given to the government, or prohibited by the constitution, are the powers of the states or the people.
